Steven Tyler, Johnny Depp team up to write music: Let the bromance begin

Do we smell a bromance a-brewing?

Steven Tyler recently revealed to Billboard that he would hope to be portrayed by "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Johnny Depp in a film about his wild rock and roll life. While a movie version of Tyler's new autobiography "Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?" isn't yet in the works, Depp admits that he would be open to the role.

"I would give it a shot, why not," he tells Extra.

For now, the actor confirms that he and the "American Idol" judge are going to be working together in a different capacity: Writing music.

"We've been hanging out here and there," Depp explains. "He's someone I've admired greatly for such a long time. The idea of writing songs with him is a dream come true."

As for Tyler's comment on the new project: The rocker says, "What else am I gonna do in LA in my downtime from 'Idol'?"

We think this is great news. A Tyler/Depp bromance is exactly what the world needs.
