Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn go public at White House Correspondents' Dinner after-party

If it wasn't official before, it's official now.

After months of sightings and rumors, Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson stepped out as a couple at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Apr. 30. Well, an after-party for the Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C. The extremely private stars were photographed holding hands (See the pictures here).

The pair were spotted together in Mexico in March and were seen going on a run together last month, but this is the first time Penn and Johansson have engaged in PDA.

Johansson showed off her newly auburn hair (for "The Avengers") and wore an Elie Saab dress and attended the dinner with her brother Hunter Johannson.  Johansson met up with Penn at the Vanity Fair/Bloomberg after-party and left together around 2:30 a.m.
