Oprah Winfrey taping final show Tuesday; Wednesday farewell won't be live
Despite a teensy bit of hope that she might go live for her last "The Oprah Winfrey Show" ever, Oprah Winfrey's executive producer confirmed that the final show is in fact being taped Tuesday (May 24). The Hollywood Reporter cites a tweet from executive producer Sheri Salata reading, "We're ready. She's ready. :-)," as proof that the show will be taped Tuesday.
Last week, Winfrey taped the second and third-to-last shows at Chicago's United Center with a cavalcade of stars including Tom Hanks, Madonna, Will and Jada-Pinkett Smith and Maria Shriver. The first part aired on Monday (May 23) and the second part airs Tuesday.
The actual finale airs Wednesday (May 25). Check your local listings.
