Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo wedding shower was a little too much fun

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are one step closer to tying the knot after celebrating with family and friends on Sunday (May 29).

The couple feted their engagement with a rooftop wedding shower, held at sunset at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. A source tells Us "Their party took in the private rooftop garden surrounded by tall hedges and several security guards. The area was closed to the public and roped off. There were white couches, chairs and ottomans set up on the lawn area to create a lounge feel... A DJ spun lounge music and big bar was set up with martini glasses."

Another on site source tells People that the future Mr. and Mrs. arrived at 7 p.m. and "greeted guests hand-in-hand.

"Vanessa looked gorgeous in a white dress with a black sash. She and Nick both seemed very excited to celebrate with their families and friends," they add.

Lachey, Minnillo and their guests danced the night away with cocktails and food prepared in chef Gordon Ramsay's hotel kitchen. A good time was reportedly had by all -- especially by the groom to be.

"My liver is furious with me," he tweeted on Monday afternoon. "Great time last night at our wedding shower. Thanks to everyone who came out."

If the shower was any indication of their actual wedding reception, Lachey's liver should get ready for another wild night.
