Nichole Hiltz: 'In Plain Sight' star arrested for child neglect

"In Plain Sight" star Nichole Hiltz was arrested on Tuesday, May 31, in L.A. on suspicion of child neglect, TMZ reports. Hiltz was since been released from custody and her lawyer says, "It was an unfortunate misunderstanding. No charges have been filed and absolutely no harm was done to the child."

So what happened? Law enforcement officials say cops originally responded to a call about a disturbance at Hiltz's apartment in West Hollywood. Officers arrested Hiltz and took the minor child into protective custody after investigating the situation.

Hiltz, 32, was taken to a nearby police station and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor child neglect around 3:30 a.m.
