Natalie Portman may take a cue from Audrey Hepburn in motherhood

natalie-portman-indie-spirit.jpgNatalie Portman already has her Oscar, and now it may be time to let "Mommy" be the lead role in her life.

The actress is due to give birth to her first child this summer and while 2011 has already been a banner year for Portman, she may be ready to call it quits on the acting front. At least temporarily.

When it comes to legendary Hollywood moms, Portman says that she admires Audrey Hepburn, who made it a point to put motherhood first.

"Audrey made some good choices in life," she tells The Sun. "More and more I realize how unimportant it is to be in the history books or anything like that. Putting time and energy into your children, that's valuable. "

Wise words, indeed. No word yet on when she and Benjamin Millepied will tie the knot, but we wish the new family well on their journey!

Is this really news to anyone ? I figured this was her plan all a long and that is why she's been doing so many movies lately, so she can have a steady flow of movies coming out while she's off being a mother.

You are a great artist, Natalie. You always try different, provocative and very interesting roles. I am sure that when you are ready you will be back on the big screen with some new awesome role; maybe even a director debut. Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorite actresses too. God bless on the new family and new journey!

What is it with all this Natalie Portman coverage? She ain't all that, just average. The only thing I can come up with is that lesbo thing she did on Black Swan, which apparently really excites the loony entertainment industry.

Hmmm, that's really easy to say when you already have a Harvard degree and an Oscar, all by the time your 30. I wonder if she would still be saying this if she still hadn't achieved her wish list of accomplishments to be achieved.

Natalie is beautiful and not just on the outside. Intelligence, talent and modesty are a rare combination theses days. Yes she did achieve her dreams and goals and now finally motherhood!
Congrats Natalie!
