Maya Rudolph talks 'Bridesmaids' sequel; Ellen DeGeneres wants in
A very pregnant Maya Rudolph is still basking in the surprise box office success of Universal's chick comedy, "Bridesmaids." The actress and "Saturday Night Live" alum stops by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday (May 26) to chat about a potential sequel and what role the talk show host could play in it. "They're already talking about a sequel. Is that right?" DeGeneres asks.
"People keep saying it. Which is the nicest thing when your movie just comes out," Rudolph responds. "They're like, sequel huh? Ok."
After DeGeneres suggests that she should play a role in "Bridesmaids II," Rudolph enthusiastically agrees and they shake on it. But who should she play in the film?
"You should play my sorority sister from Dallas slash Jon Hamm's new love interest," Rudolph suggest. "Like, all in one."
"I'll do whatever you want," DeGeneres responds. "I just want to be a part of that."
We like the chances of a sequel, but what do you think of a DeGeneres, Hamm on-screen pairing? We think a DeGeneres, Wiig cat fight could be fun!
