Lars Von Trier 'Nazi' confession video emerges after he's booted from Cannes
Controversial filmmaker Lars Von Trier ("Dancer in the Dark," "Dogville") went to Cannes 2011 with his apocalyptic wedding movie, "Melancholia," and star Kirsten Dunst. Unfortunately for him, the only thing people are buzzing about is his apparently sarcastic comments about being a Nazi and Hitler sympathizer. Despite his apology, the Telegraph reports that Cannes organizers have booted him from the festival. A statement from the directors says they "firmly condemns these comments and declares Lars von Trier a persona non grata at the festival."
Persona non grata or not, "Melancholia" will reportedly remain in competition for the May 22 awards -- which should at least be some consolation for Kirsten Dunst. As you'll see in the video of press conference that included the Nazi comments, the actress is clearly having the most uncomfortable week of her life.

Shame on him.
I´m Danish and embarrased. Lars von Trier will do anything to create drama as he is not normal and his opinions do not reflect those of the Danish people in general.
The path from genius to fool is apparently shorter than I thought.
I appologize for my less than flawless English as it is not my native language.
Poor Kirsten. She looks like she just wants to disappear. And I don't blame her in the least.
why is there such a media storm about von trier's nazi joke ? some people can crack a joke convincingly and some are hopeless at trying to be humorous. von trier is a good dramatist but he would starve trying to be comedian. another very important thing, why was nobody from the media and media associated chattering class ever disturbed by self professed lenin and stalin admiring marxist communist swines in film industry, for example jean luc goddard (a cinematic charlatan as well) or bernardo bertolucci. marxism-communism kiled 10 times more people than nazism and nobody got hysterical when bertolucci proclaimed that he is a stalinist. he was not kicked out from any film festival and jewish producers kept employing him. all hypocrites. the message is : scream about evil nazis all the time and keep quiet and be happy about the fact that communist jews murdered people by tens of millions. on google type : jew watch.com communism
To Rikke. Do not apologize for your English. You know two languages so you are ahead of the game.
Thank you for being honest about Lars Von Trier. I just figured all of Denmark accepted this man and his films as the end all and be all of film making. Seems all of those connected to your movie industry never say a bad word about him. Like they are too afraid of challenging anything LVT may say and do. Except for Nicolas Refn.Rooting for his movie Drive. LVT's actions and Mads Mikkelsen's public drunkeness with other questionable behavior has put Denmark in a bad light.
Chip Shot !
Honestly is just looks like LvT kinda got lost in what he was saying and it just didn't come out right. I mean, c'mon, its happened to the best of us.... you're trying to make a point, jokingly say something you shouldn't, but in your confusion you can't pull yourself back from it and get to the point you were trying to make in the first place! No reason to jump to conclusions, you know?
