Jon Cryer reacts to Ashton Kutcher's 'Two and a Half Men' casting
Charlie Sheen may not be optimistic about Ashton Kutcher's new gig on "Two and a Half Men," but Jon Cryer has nothing but kind words about the casting news. "I want to express my enormous gratitude to Charlie Sheen for eight great seasons. I'm extremely proud of the work we've done together, and I will miss him," the actor says of his former co-star. "But I'm also looking forward to this new beginning."
Of said new beginning, Cryer adds: "Ashton is an extraordinarily talented guy, and his presence will be an asset to our show." Joking, "We are old friends from our male modeling days, and we're both looking forward to being judged for our comedic artistry, as opposed to our exceptional physical beauty."
"I'm jazzed about the news this morning that 'Two and a Half Men' is coming back! For all the rest of the cast and crew I'm sure they are equally excited," he continues.
Sheen suggested that the addition of the "Punk'd" alum would cause the show to lose it's key demographic. "Enjoy the show America," he said. "Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB." Though to be fair, he also referred to the actor as a "sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer."

Well I'll personally be watching (and I have never watched the show before) if for no other reason but to prove CS wrong!
I'll watch the first episode with Ashton, then I'm back to ignoring that piece of crap show. Am I the only one who gets really creepy child molestor vibes from John Cryer? He completely grosses me out.
Love the show and I will watch no matter what.
"I'm jazzed about the news this morning that 'Two and a Half Men' is coming back!"
Well of course Cryer is excited...he makes $550,000 per episode. If they'd decided to cancel the show, he'd be out about $12 million this year.
charlie will always be charlie part of the shows pull was it mirrored some aspects of his life ...lets see if older woman scenarios get thrown in now
YOU ALL MUST SMOKE WHAT CHARLIE SMOKES THE SHOW WAS GREAT BECAUSE OF CHARLIE AND THE CHEMISTRY OF ALL THE ACTORS IT IS A JOKE TO REPLACE HIM 1 SEASON TOPS. LETS NOT FORGET THE REAL CAUSE BEHIND THIS MESS BIG MOUTH LORRE IT WAS A NICE RUN CHARLIE!!!
Well Charlie.......are you LOSING yet??
Winning!
The show succked with Charlie Sheen, and I'm sure it will keep on succkking now that Ashton Kutcher is there. It really has not so much to do with the actors but rather it is a terribly uninteresting sitcom with lousy writing. But, hey, Ashton gave us 1000 episodes of that 70's shiitt, so it can't be worse than that.
I did not watch the show only coz of Charlie. I watched coz of him, Jon, the kid, the mom, the ex's new hubby, the maid, the physical comedy. But his last episodes really did not bring good performances so I will not miss him at all. Ashton is a good choice.
