Jeff Conaway did not overdose, Dr. Drew Pinsky explains
It was reported last week that Jeff Conaway, perhaps best known for his role as Kenickie opposite John Travolta in "Grease," fell into a coma following a suspected overdose. He previously battled substance abuse on "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." Though initial reports indicated that the actor suffered from pneumonia, it was suspected by many that the coma was caused by a drugs. At the time, Dr. Drew Pinsky released a statement that he was "deeply saddened to learn of Jeff's condition."
Dr. Drew made a point to visit his former patient in the hospital on Friday (May 20). He offers updates and explanations on Conaway's condition via Twitter, also explaining that there was no overdose.
"Just visited Jeff Conaway. He is stable & looks like he will recover from his pneumonia. Not an OD like press is alleging & certainly not dead," the doctor posted.
Though it all sounds like good news, he was quick to clarify comments from followers which indicate that Conaway may not be doing quite so well.
Dr. Drew explains that Conaway is in an induced coma, suffering from pneumonia with sepsis. He is still considered critical and "VERY tenuous." On Saturday, Pinsky posted "We all need to pray for him. Not doing well today suddenly."
Though the doc has not tweeted since that day, we rest assured that he will continue to keep us posted.

Why do we lionize such a lifestyle as this man and so many others (e.g., Busey, Downey Jr.) have glorified into a hellacious societal norm, through celebrity, especially through their professional servants/expert apologists/”reality-show stars” like Dr. Drew? There's a storm "a comin'. "

Thank you for being more "human" on your comments although I realize the need for sansationalism and good ratings.
After all the expert opinions on Casey Anthony's so called reasons for her actions, please lets not forget that inocent child's very short life, suffocating to death and left to the scavengers. She was even denied the basic right to know who her father was all as a result of her selfish out of control poor excuse for a mother's actions.
