'Green Lantern': New trailer focuses on Hal Jordan's training
"Green Lantern" won over some previously skeptical fanboys and -girls with the footage shown at WonderCon last month. The movie's new theatrical trailer should keep them happy.
You'll see some a few moments from the WonderCon footage in the trailer -- which will be attached to most prints of "Thor" this weekend -- but there's also a healthy amount of new material. Much of it focuses on how Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) is chosen for the Green Lantern Corps and how he adjusts to the idea of being one of the guardians of the universe (not entirely smoothly, as you might imagine).
Villain Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard) also gets a bit more screen time, which should help those less familiar with the Green Lantern comics. Blake Lively's Carol Ferris is also featured a little more prominently.
"Green Lantern" opens in theaters on June 17. What do you think of the new trailer?
