Danielle Staub quits stripping, seeks help from Dr. Drew Pinsky

Just days after photos surfaced of Danielle Staub on a stripper pole at New York's Scores Gentleman's Club, the former "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has called it quits.

"I have addictions with love and low self-esteem, and I need help!," the 48-year-old tells People. "My low self-esteem derived from childhood sexual abuse has messed with my mind and self-worth, and over the years I thought about getting help but pushed it deep into the depths of denial. For years I have had the suicide hotline on my cell phone and would like nothing more than to free myself from this constant pressure."

She reportedly signed a 3-year deal with Scores for both live and web appearances. After walking away from said deal, the reality-star says she is now seeking help from fellow reality-star, Dr. Drew Pinsky. Why are we not surprised?

"Seeing how I have hurt myself and my family this time, I can no longer push it behind me," she adds.

We just hope she's serious about getting the help she needs and not simply vying for more attention.
