Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child confession: Maria Shriver leaves amidst paternity scandal

In early May, former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife Maria Shriver separated after 25 years of marriage. At the time, the split was presented to the media as amicable. The couple released the following statement:"This has been a time of great personal and professional
transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection,
discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time,
we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship.
Unfortunately, it's not quite so simple. On Tuesday, the LA Times reports that Shriver left Schwarzenegger after he admitted to fathering a child with a member of their household staff. Schwarzenegger tells the Times that the child was born "over a decade ago."
Schwarzenegger came clean to Shriver about the love child after leaving the Governor's office. The mother of the child retired in January after working for the Schwarzeneggers for 20 years.
In a statement, the former Governor says: "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry. I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not."

I'll bet Maria is very upset to learn that she has employed the mother of his bastard for the last twenty years in her home. Is that how he bought the silence of the woman, to keep her employed and under his eye?
I'll bet Maria might have forgiven the affair, and even the child, if the mother had not worked in her home for twenty years.
That poor kid... guess he'll never be able to truly enjoy the great action flicks of the 80s knowing he's the bastard son of The Terminator himself... =(
Stop it with the bastard comments, no such thing, children were meant to be born whether their parents were married or not...
The kid has lived a normal life with his mother, as the father was listed as her then husband. This has happened many times in history, unfortunately, but such is life.
The child will one day come to accept his father for who he was. I think he is lucky to have a father that is as interesting as Arnold Schwarzenegger, in spite of his faults.
Children do not ask to be born...it's the parents who are bastards for bringing a LUST child (not love child) into this world. Shame on the maid and Arnold. Shame on them for not coming clean years ago.
Shame, shame, shame on both of them. Geez, I'm feeling so torn up inside, my love for Arnold can never be, all our plans together are finished, finite. I'm just soo peeved at Arnold, he definitely deserves a time out, and that poor little bastard child growing up with out a father. Shame on you Arnold, you bad, bad man.
Let us spare the kid in all this. Please dont call him names. Direct them all to Anord and that shameless mistress. You mean you could not keep your cloths on?

BS...Maria knew all along ...they stayed together until it was politically savy to let the story out which will now make her an OKra sized Icon to the masses that buy into the Camelot Myth. Look for book deals, tv deals
