'50/50' trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick fight cancer with humor
Based on a true story, "50/50" stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a 27-year-old writer whose world is turned upside-down as he battles a rare cancer diagnosis. Typically, one wouldn't peg this type of film as comedic, but throw in Seth Rogen as a stoner pal and voila! We have a drama/comedy. Watch the trailer below, as Gordon-Levitt says that he has a 50/50 chance of survival, while Rogen attempts to comfort him by explaining that "If you were a casino game, you'd have the best odds."
Slated for a September 30th release, the film is helmed by Jonathan Levine and also stars "Twilight's" Anna Kendrick, Anjelica Huston and Bryce Dallas Howard.
The film is described as "a funny, touching and original story of friendship, love and survival." What do you think of the trailer? Will you check it out when "50/50" hits theaters?

Sounds like it would have been a good movie, until it mentioned that Seth Rogan was in it.....
I hate Seth Rogen as the next sane person, but he was pretty good in "The Green Hornet" and I'm willing to believe he might be growing as an actor.
I can't help but think that this role is quite similar to the one he played in the atrocious "Funny People" perhaps he sees this as an opportunity to do it better?
Either way, I won't be seeing this based on the fact that it is based on a true story. True story means the guy died or took to beating prostitutes, never seen it turn out another way.
YES! I will watch anything with Joseph Gordon-Levitt!
@Braystreet JGL's character is based on Will Reiser who survived in real life, he was the one who wrote the film.
JGL!♥ yay~ i remember his role in mysterious skin.. i'll definitely see this one.
