'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' official trailer released, watch it here
When the teaser trailer for "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" hit, we were a bit disappointed by the absence of Shia LaBeouf. Thankfully, the official trailer for the franchise's third film more than made up for it.
And hey, we also get a peek at some of the franchise's newcomers: Oscar-winner Frances McDormand and Megan Fox's replacement Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Patrick Dempsey continues to elude us.
We're not really sure what's going on in the trailer, but we do know that Optimus Prime is not too happy. "Everything humans know of our planet we were told had been shared," he says. "You lied to us. You have made a grave mistake." OK -- so we do know -- we think -- he's mad that the US government knew about his long-lost mentor who crash-landed on the moon.
As per usual with a Michael Bay flick, there's a lot of action, fighting and stuff being blown up.
"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" hits theaters on July 1, 2011. Will you be checking it out, Zappers?
