'The Hunger Games' courting John C. Reilly for District 12 mentor, Haymitch

There has been a lot of talk about who should play "The Hunger Games'" cantankerous District 12 coach, Haymitch Abernathy. He has to carry off hard and caring, be a believable drunk and yet an amazing deal maker to get Katniss (to be played by Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) the supplies and support they'll need to get through the games.

According to Vulture, the producers of the "The Hunger Games" are about to extend an offer to John C. Reilly.

You'll remember Reilly from roles in "Step Brothers," "Magnolia," and "Gangs of New York." Most recently, he had been in talks to star alongside James Franco in Disney's "Oz, the Great and the Powerful," but Vulture reports that those talks have stalled and insinuates that "The Hunger Games" may be why...

Is this the guy who'll have Katniss and Peeta's fate in his hands?

Absolutely NOT!!!!!!! EVERY TIME I READ ANYTHING LIKE THIS I WANT TO PUKE!!!!! Terrible choice. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is my favorite pick but I would take ANYONE over John C. Reilly. Literally anyone.

No no no! needs to be sloppier, olders, bitter, sauced, and brilliant.
NO!

Absulutley not. Even Robert Downey junior is a stretch but never this clown

John C. Reilly is quite good, but I think the best choice is Robert Downey Jr.. Robert is just perfect!
