Snooki outearns Nobel prize-winner Toni Morrison in Rutgers University speaking gig

One person's guilty pleasure, is another's higher education.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi earned a whopping $32,000 to speak at Rutgers University, located in Piscataway, NJ, during an event called "Inside the Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi Studio." The pint sized reality star dished on fist pumping, her "pouf" and the "GTL" lifestyle during the Thursday (Mar. 31) event, People confirms.
The price tag for the Snooks headlined event was a full $2K more than what the University is signed on to pay Nobel prize-winning author, Toni Morrison, when she speaks during the May commencement ceremony. Ouch.

In a statement released by the school on Friday, they confirmed that it was the student-run Rutgers University Programming Association that booked the "A Shore Thing" author. "[They] made the decision to invite Snooki and her comedy act to the campus based on input from students," the statement reads. "No state funds or tuition money are used for these events. The university doe not censor the speakers students choose to invite to campus."

We're not sure a place of higher learning is exactly where Snooki's act belongs, but in all honestly, we totally would have gone.
