Sarah Lane, Natalie Portman's 'Black Swan' double, talks to 'GMA'

sarah-lane-gma.jpgApparently we haven't heard the last of Sarah Lane. The Natalie Portman ballet body double appeared on "Good Morning America" on Friday (April 15) to talk about her the controversy surrounding her contributions to the film and attempts to keep her from speaking out about her work.

Lane tells "GMA" that she did most of the full body and close-up shot dancing and that Portman's head was superimposed on her body with "computer effects." Lane goes on to admit that she wasn't told she'd get credit for her work and says she didn't do the movie to "get fame or recognition."

So why speak out now? Lane says that after a small interview in Glamour, one of the film's producers called her and asked to her to not do anymore press until after the Oscars.

"They were trying to create this image, this facade, that Natalie had done something extraordinary," says Lane, "something that's pretty much impossible -- to become a professional ballerina."

Apparently that's a bit of movie magic that doesn't sit well with the dancer.

give it a rest, will ya?

I am so sick of this girl. We get it, it was a lot of you dancing....no one thought Natalie became a prima ballerina over the filming. The only this chick has done is guarantee she will never be offered another job in the movie industry, which I can only be thankful for.

Y'know...she clearly says she knew what she signed up to do. Then she got peeved, and now she's reacting. Which makes me not trust a word she's saying.

Not that it matters much. It's still one of my favorite films.

Somebody is bitter and angry...get over it.

natalie didn't win an oscar for her dancing, it was for acting. this girl needs to get over it.

I understand what this woman is saying. I think a lot of people look at it and think Natalie DID become a professional ballerina for the role, and I think it's cheating for the producers to have encouraged that misconception so that Academy voters would value Portman's work for more than it was.

I actually thought she did her own dancing. She sure made it look that way, talking about her training and whatnot. That's all I heard from Natalie when being interviewed for her Oscar campaign.

The Oscar is about the entire performance, and this one included acting AND dancing.

This movie was overrated as was the Jew's performance.
