Robert Pattinson is MC Hammer's biggest fan

robert-pattinson-wfe-premiere.jpgDo late night hosts have to allot extra time when Robert Pattinson visits, so that all of the women in the audience can finish their screaming without the entire segment being lost? "That's such an ego trip," Pattinson told Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night as the audience lost their collective minds. "I want to come in again!"

"They don't just want to see you. They want to eat you," Kimmel replied.

Pattinson discussed the end of the "Twilight" series, which he just wrapped in Vancouver. "I think for at least six months," he jokes, "before we start doing a mini-series. I'll be doing it for another 12 to 15 years."

He says that American films and, in particular, American cartoons made him interested in acting. "The MC Hammer cartoon, 'Hammertime,'" he says. "Did anyone actually watch that?" Apparently someone did, because Kimmel gave Pattinson an original animation cell from the show.

Pattinson is a big fan. "For some reason, growing up in Southwest London in a completely white neighborhood, I was like, 'Yeah! This is speaking to me!' Especially the MC Hammer cartoon, which is the realest it gets. I've only heard one thing about MC Hammer, and this is in no way making fun of him at all, but he apparently did a tour of Australia and the only thing he brought with him was a suitcase full of batteries and a suitcase full of KFC. I don't know if that's true, but I love that story so much."

Hammer was apparently watching, because he tweeted, "Robert !!! Don't tell ..Batteries ???? Lol Okay ... The batteries are true !!!"

Hammertime! Wow! I remember watching that cartoon on Saturday morning. Didn't think anyone remembered that show except me.
