Peyton Hillis trumps Michael Vick for Madden 12 Cover

peyton-hillis-madden12.jpgHow about that... Michael Vick is generating some positive publicity! Indirectly, that is.

The Philadelphia Eagle and convicted animal killer was in the running for a spot on the cover of the latest EA Sports NFL game, Madden 12, but lost out to Cleveland Browns running back, Peyton Hillis.

Underdog Hillis made it all the way to the final round of EA and ESPN's bracket style voting for who would grace the game's cover. After thirteen million votes, he eventually won out over Vick in the end.

Though fans voted Vick all the way to the final throes of the competition, it's probably for the best that he didn't win an actual cover spot. The game will sell regardless of whose face and jersey is on the front -- but there's no way the gaming company wouldn't have come under major criticism for a Vick fronted game. A PR nightmare, to say the least.

All in all, the game is receiving plenty of positive publicity now that not-Michael-Vick is gracing the cover. Sounds like a win to us.

The game is going to sell regardless. The face on the cover has very little to do with sales..Its the name, Madden 12 dumbass. True gamers wouldn't have cared if Vick graced the cover. They can still select the Eagles and play with Vick if they choose..

"Sounds like a win to us"P.S. "WHOS IS US?' You didnt't ask me for my input
