Padma Lakshmi's nude pictures on display in her design studio
"Top Chef" host and jewelry designer Padma Lakshmi tells FOX411 Thursday (April 14) that she has nothing to hide in regards to her body - the nude pictures she had taken for Page Six magazine in 2009 are on display in her house."I think those are beautiful pictures and they hang in our design studio and my daughter passes those pictures every day," says Padma. "I think a woman's body is one of the most beautiful creations on this Earth and it's not what you do, it's how you do it. Michael Angelo did nudes too. There's a difference between a beautiful photo and an exploited photo, and I don't believe there's anything exploited in the photos that I've taken."
We would agree. The pictures (above and below) are not anything salacious.
She goes on to address her celebrity status and ethnicity.
"I don't get up in the morning thinking, 'I'm an Indian' or 'I'm a woman' or 'I'm a person of color' or 'I'm this or I'm that.' I get up thinking, 'Alright, what can I do to accomplish what I find interesting in the world?'", says Padma. "I never start from a place of my ethnicity or my gender, I start from a place of ambition and just curiosity about the world I live in and enthusiasm for being active, mentally and physically."
Sounds like a good health attitude to us. And how does she keep her beautiful figure?
"I just make up for the calories I consume whether it's chips or a big turkey burger or whatever, by doing a lot of exercise. There's no magic formula, it's just arithmetic. You have to burn more calories than you take in. It's like balancing a bank account, it requires consistency, discipline, and understanding the numbers," explains Padma. "If you splurge one day, you have to take a spinning class the next day. If you have a big meal coming up, you probably want to hit the jump rope for 10 minutes. Anything you can do, little things and big things, but it's every day. Its consistency and a lifestyle, not just a choice. A healthy lifestyle every day."

Umm ... did you maybe mean Michelangelo?
if i looked like her, i'd be naked all the damn time!!!!
This "lady" is one of the most narcissistic a-holes i ever met!! I mean she is just HORRIBLE!!
Michael Angelo? ROTFL why do the Zap2it writers really SUCK at writing? and history it seems. I told you these 'writers' probably never had to graduate HS.
It's a quote. Padma said "Michael Angelo," not "Michelangelo." It's like that in the original interview as well. Not the reporter's job to fix her mistake.
So the original reporter is the moron. And whatever happened to the "sic" notation so people know that the mistake is in the quote?
Reports job are to ensure readers understand what they publish. If they made same mistakes while prining, rather not read that coloumn. This is a verbal interview not an email interview.
I like her section of calorie calculations, the way she presented it.
People who have nothing else in life, no money, no job, abused, ignored and abandoned can go on laughing on others silly mistakes. She is making her dough and enjoying her life in progress.
