Michael Shannon to play Zod in Superman movie, 'Man of Steel'
Warner Bros. announced Saturday that the highly anticipated and highly scrutinized new Superman movie, directed by Zack Snyder, will be titled simply "Man of Steel," not "Superman: Man of Steel" as originally expected. And, they've cast the Zod -- which makes this the first Superman flick in 32 years, since the Christopher Reeve years, to feature the evil general. "Boardwalk Empire" star Michael Shannon will play the villain to Henry Cavill's Superman/Clark Kent.
"Zod is not only one of Superman's most formidable enemies, but one of the most significant because he has insights into Superman that others don't. Michael is a powerful actor who can project both the intelligence and the malice of the character, making him perfect for the role," Snyder says.

FAIL. So much fail.
Way to kill all anticipation for this movie WB idiots.
Zac dont make it ot much of a comic book movie ok. Make it more dramatic like what singer did. but im gald that man of steel has an old character brought to life like Gen. Zod. that way to cool for me. I just wish that Zod would be a older actor that's it. I still would like brandon be the man of steel.
