Maundy Thursday: Pop culture Last Suppers from 'The Simpsons,' 'Lost' and more
In 2011, Maundy Thursday falls on April 21. Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday or Covenant Thursday) is always celebrated the Thursday before Easter. It commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his Apostles. The word "maundy" comes from the Latin word for commandment,"mandatum." It is used because of the instruction Jesus Christ gave his Apostles that humans should love one another.
The Last Supper scene, most famously depicted in the above 1499 Milan, Italy mural by Leonardo da Vinci, has been replicated over and over. Not only in art pieces, but also in pop culture. As an entertainment site, we thought we'd take a look at those depictions. Let us know if we missed any.
Cartoons "The Simpsons" and "South Park" have each taken a turn:

"The Sopranos" got in on the fun:

My favorite is the one you left out-one of famous atheists such as Carl Sagan, Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, etc.
Thanks, Mike! I didn't know about that one, I'll add it.
