LeBron James' mother arrested in Miami altercation

Move over LeBron James, you're not the only one making headlines in the family.

James' mother Gloria was arrested at 4:57 am ET on Thursday (Apr. 8) where else, but in Miami Beach. The Miami Heat mom was taken into custody at the Fontainebleau resort as the result of an altercation with a parking valet attendant.

Gloria was handcuffed and issued a citation for misdemeanor simple battery. She was released from jail with a promise to appear in court at a later date, RadarOnline has learned.

A source at the hotel says that the incident occurred "after she pulled into the hotel during the early hours of Thursday morning. She got into an altercation with one of the car parking valets who works for a private company contracted by the Fontainebleau."

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the dispute.

If this lady really rolls up to a posh Miami hotel at 5 in the morning, gets in a scuffle that ends in an arrest all without a drop of alcohol in her system... we're impressed. Or concerned. We'll wait on more details before committing one way or the other.
