Justin Bieber hits 9 million Twitter followers, keeps on rolling

Early Friday morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m. ET, Justin Bieber noted -- well, it was more of a boast -- that he'd reached 9 million Twitter followers. Doing his best impression of Bill Clinton, he tweeted joyfully to his Beliebers:



This topped a 24-hour period in which the term "Bieber Gone Wild" logged a goodly amount of time in Twitter's top trends. And before 2 a.m., Bieber was well over the 9 million mark with exactly 9,003,691 followers.

We'd like to point out that that Bieber's Twitter following is roughly the size of the population of Sweden. Per Twitaholic, only Lady Gaga -- with 9,473,546 followers -- tops the Bieb. Rounding out the top five: Britney Spears, Barack Obama and Kim Kardashian.
