That John Lennon could write a mean song. And, apparently, a mean letter. This one, found courtesy the fabulous Letters of Note site, takes Paul and now-deceased wife Linda to task for what he -- Lennon -- sees as McCartney's over-inflated ego and a difference of opinion about press appearances.Read the full text at the link, but some choice highlights:

Based on the headline ("nasty letter") I thought this would be more negative.
there was only one John and like our beloved George he died too young--leaving us Paul. Paul looks very OLD for his age, he was not the great Beatle--John was!! It is too bad that YOKO was ever born--she took our Beatles from us and some of us believe this to be true--rotten tomatoes to YOKO she was a true *****!!
