'Hunger Games' casts Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth: What do you think?

It's time to weigh in, "Hunger Games" fans, because the core triangle has officially been cast according to a Lionsgate press release. Joining Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss are Josh Hutcherson (18) as Peeta and Liam Hemsworth (21) as Gale."The Hunger Games" is based on the trilogy of novels by Suzanne Collins. Katniss is a teenager who volunteers to represent her district in the Games, a battle-to-the-death between 24 teenagers.
While they're not quite what we pictured, there's no denying that these are three talented actors. Lawrence, who is 20 years old, was nominated for the coveted Best Actress Academy Award this year for her performance in "Winter's Bone." Hutcherson's role as Laser in "The Kids Are All Right" was critically acclaimed. Even Hemsworth surprised us as the romantic lead in "The Last Song."

I don't get it, I thought Peeta has blonde hair and Gale has dark hair. Should these roles be reversed?
Josh Hutcherson was always one of my first choices for Peeta, I liked him better than the fan fave Hunter Parrish. Not sure about Liam as Gale though, not at all how I pictured him. I need to see them once they actually transform them into the characters. But they all really appear to be good actors, so they should be able to catty the emotional weight of the material.

I'm just so confused by this. They are completely wrong for their parts. Only Katniss comes even close to being a good match.
I'm really upset about the casting! I think Josh is an amazing actor but I don't think he's right for Peeta! I really don't think Liam is right for the role of Gale either. This ruined my week!!!
I HATE Liam as Gale >:( he was just chosen because he looks like the actual cousin of Jennifer L...unfortunately she is also blonde and they had to look for an actor that could resemble her a bit. So sad it wasn´t Drew Roy :(
No offense to Josh...but he's no Peeta, no matter how much hair dye they end up using.
ughhh. i'm SOOO excited for the movie but the casting is not good to me... Katniss: eh could've been better? Although, watching winter's bone jennifer lawrence proves she's not a bad actress. Peeta: could be good...we shall see. Gale: NO. Liam is hott but way too old. Yeah he and Jennifer look similar but he does not fit the part for Gale :( so disappointing..
When you first shared this news on Twitter on Friday, I really thought it was an April Fools' joke. Now that it's actually confirmed, I'm a little disappointed.
I never really had anyone in mind for Peeta and Gale. The characters in my head are actually young and don't look like any actor I know. I did think Hailee Steinfeld would be the perfect Katniss, but I've warmed up to Jennifer Lawrence already. Maybe in time I'll warm up to Josh and Liam?
Still... not who I imagined.
