Eddie Murphy forces an arena of children to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him

eddie-murphy-kcas.jpg
Sorry, kids. You voted for him.

Eddie Murphy took home the distinguished nod of "Favorite voice from an animated movie" at the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards, and after receiving his applause, he noted that it was almost his birthday. (50 years old on April 3!)

Tickled for a moment over his big day, and the futuristic Cosby sweater he was wearing, Murphy then refused depart the stage until the entire auditorium of 10,000-or-so guests sang "Happy Birthday" to him.

Leave it to Eddie Murphy to take a modicum of goodwill and then make everybody regret it.

Did you honestly misspell the word Celebrate in the headline on the main page?

Eddie Murfys birthday is on Aril 3 and mines is on April 4.

they did...and they just changed it...

He didnt force anyone to sing to him .Did u watch the awards?

Murphy didn't force anyone to sing happy birthday! This article is an outright lie! Did this person even watch the awards? How are these so-called "journalists" getting away with this crap?

You lying Son of a *****
I watched the show twice, and Eddie didnt force anybody to do anything.

This is absurd, Eddie nerver forced the audience to sing happy birthday. He was in his happy moment as my children and I were too at home for the megastar. You guys have nothing better to write? Get another job or profession.

This is so absurd, I clicked on this thinking it would be something NICE about the well loved actor Eddie, and it's a bunch of garbage!!! I watched the kids choice awards with my daughter and he was excited about his birthday and had everyone sing to him, the WHOLE audiance was all smiles including the stars! Get a different job because lying about something like this is just ridiculous!! Write the truth or don't write at all!!!!

Pure evidence of the fact that most of today's journalists don't possess a "modicum" of credibility, responsibility or skill in their professions as this unbelievably shallow article should have never been published. Unfortunately this type of journalism has shifted along with every other society ill in the world today to be accepted as the norm. From watching the show you would think this was simply a "hit job" on Eddie Murphy, for whatever reason, and could fuel speculation that some of those reasons could be personal, or worse such as bigotry or even racial. In any case, the tone of your article opens the door to say it encompasses all of the above stated reasons... that's how bad it is. How does a writer who feels comfortable with a product like this keep employment? amazing....smh.

why lie? this site sucks.
