Donald Trump 'taking great credit' for President Obama's birth certificate, Drudge Report already questioning authenticity

I

In a move perhaps worthy of a "carnival barker," not an hour after President Obama made a statement and released his long-form birth certificate, Donald Trump has taken credit for finally getting to the bottom of this monumental mystery.

"I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in hopefully, hopefully, getting rid of this issue," Trump says to reporters in New Hampshire. "Now we have to look at it, we have to see is it really, is it proper, what's on it, but I hope it checks out beautifully. I am really proud, I am really honored ... I'm taking great credit."

Trump also says he wants to see the certificate, but now he wants to talk about more important issues, such as oil prices and China. And more conspiracies, apparently. Because he was quick to bring up how President Obama got into Harvard Law School and Columbia as a transfer student and calling on the White House to release his records from school.

Just FYI - transferring happens all the time, particularly in law schools. The author of this piece had about 30 transfers into her law school class its second year and about 15 students who transferred out of it. Law students who do not get into their top choices routinely go to a "lesser ranked" school, perform very well their first years and then "trade up" by transferring. It's very common.

Trump then told reporters of President Obama and the 2012 race, "He's going to lose."

Meanwhile, the Smoking Gun (formerly the Drudge Report) is already asking questions about the authenticity of the birth certificate.

When will the madness end?

FYI for the author...
Digging into every aspect of a political candidate's background by any and all means necessary is also extremely common....even at a local level, and obviously much more so on a presidential level. Candidates for city councils routinely field questions over similar ridiculously small details...why would it be different for Obama?

Donald Trump is a clown and the people who support him are fools.

I think the author's point was that something as common as transferring college credits being turned into something suspect and sinister was a little silly. Just FYI for you TB...

Its about time

Trump already won, he managed to do what the mighty Clinton machine couldn't. Now if the BC isn't forged stick to him on the issues, their is plenty there that the Press has ignored.

I agree it is silly...I would say outright dumb. My point is it happens at all levels. It is not surprising or unusual, so why bother mentioning it or asking when the madness will end? Is anything that goes on in Washington, or politics in general, not silly?

You would think with all of the important things happening right now in the World that Americans would find more pressing issues to spend their time on. I am not American, but if I was I'd be ashamed at the amount of time and expense put into something as stupid as this...and why? So people like Donald Trump (who are egomanics) can get more attention. Congatulations...you're helping them get it and making yourselves look ridiculous at the same time.

Not even the combined forces of Facebook,Google,Soros and a BILLION dollars will get this clown elected in 2012. Voters were duped...never again.

If the reps have a crappy candidate then he will get reelected again.

Donald Trump
Please go somewhere and sit the blank blank blank blank down.
I used to like you now I see you as a man who has a little money and is making an blank blank blank out of himself. Aynthing is possible but I hope you aren't the next president. You're fired
