Donald Trump 'taking great credit' for President Obama's birth certificate, Drudge Report already questioning authenticity
In a move perhaps worthy of a "carnival barker," not an hour after President Obama made a statement and released his long-form birth certificate, Donald Trump has taken credit for finally getting to the bottom of this monumental mystery.
"I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in
hopefully, hopefully, getting rid of this issue," Trump says to reporters in New Hampshire. "Now we have to look at it, we have to see is it really, is it proper, what's on it, but I hope it checks out beautifully. I am really proud, I am really honored ... I'm taking great credit."
Trump also says he wants to see the certificate, but now he wants to talk about more important issues, such as oil prices and China. And more conspiracies, apparently. Because he was quick to bring up how President Obama got into Harvard Law School and Columbia as a transfer student and calling on the White House to release his records from school.
Just FYI - transferring happens all the time, particularly in law schools. The author of this piece had about 30 transfers into her law school class its second year and about 15 students who transferred out of it. Law students who do not get into their top choices routinely go to a "lesser ranked" school, perform very well their first years and then "trade up" by transferring. It's very common.
Meanwhile, the Smoking Gun (formerly the Drudge Report) is already asking questions about the authenticity of the birth certificate.
When will the madness end?
