Denise Richards talks Charlie Sheen's sobriety, Brooke Mueller and the kids

Denise Richards is launching a mini torpedo of her own truth.

No, the mother of Charlie Sheen's two young daughters (thankfully) isn't taking a cue from her ex-husband. She won't be launching a nationwide tour to tell her side of the story, but she did open up to Andy Cohen for a candid interview on Thursday's (Apr. 21) "Watch What Happens Live" on Bravo.

"For me it's very sad to see him on this path," she says. "I've heard he's chosen to use me in part of his tour and that's hurtful, but that's his choice."

The actress has only heard "bits and pieces" of his show, but adds that "I just think there's some places you shouldn't go."  

Though Richards admits that she and Sheen aren't "in the best place right now," they are in communication. The former E! Reality star says that she is still open to caring for his and estranged wife Brooke Mueller's twin boys -- temporarily, of course.

"I offered. I wasn't asking for custody or anything like that," she explains. "I've put it out there several times over the last couple years that if they need help, I'm here. I would love the boys to stay and be with the girls. Whatever help they needed I was definitely offering."

As for the sound bite everybody's talking about: When asked about Sheen's current state of sobriety, Richards dances around the question for a bit before admitting, "I don't know if he's sober or not."
