'Bill and Ted 3'? Apparently Keanu Reeves wasn't kidding
Last fall when Keanu Reeves mentioned the possibility of a third "Bill and Ted" movie, everyone thought he was kidding. If he is, though, he is extremely committed to the bit.Reeves brought up the alleged sequel again in an interview with MTV this week -- and even more stunningly, the story he laid out for "Bill and Ted 3" actually doesn't sound terrible.
When Reeves first mentioned the movie last fall, he said that the writers of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure," Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, were kicking around ideas for a third film. He also said that it would be shot in black and white and in 3-D and would be directed by Martin Scorsese, Werner Herzog and Francis Ford Coppola, which is why everyone figured he was goofing around.
But the part about Matheson and Solomon is apparently true, and according to Reeves they've hit on this idea: "When we last got together, part of it was that Bill [Alex Winter] and Ted [Reeves] were supposed to have written the song that saved the world" -- as seen in the climax of "Excellent Adventure" -- and it hasn't happened," Reeves tells MTV. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that."
Matheson and Solomon haven't finished a script yet, Reeves says, and the project isn't set up at any studio (MGM released the first two movies). But the prospect of two middle-aged dudes frantically trying to fulfill their supposed destiny is oddly appealing to us.
Reeves, by the way, stars in the indie comedy "Henry's Crime," which opens in New York on Friday (April 8) and expands to few other cities later in the month.

Excellent dudes:)
I will see this movie if they make it.
It's not like Keanu is busy entertaining any other offers...
I don't know. Bill & Ted without Rufus? Might just be best to let us have the original 2 movies and leave it at that.
GAY!!!!!!!
GRACIE RANSOM SAVES BILL AND TED. ROCK LIVES
@ Anonymous...congratulations for coming out of the closet. Glad to see you are so proud!!!
I don't know - will Bill & Ted play well with two middle-aged guys instead of two teen/20 somethings? Many more Americans are familiar with Doctor Who now, as well (I still laugh when people think the time-traveling phone booth in Bill & Ted was an original idea!). Despite that, if they do it, I hope it's actually Bill and Ted at the centre of the story and not some lame "Bill Jr and Ted Jr with the Bill and Ted Sr rooting them on" scenario.
