Westboro Baptist Church -- the protesters who show up at funerals for fallen service members to protest gays in the military -- have found another totally inappropriate venue to spread their message of intolerance to homosexuality: Elizabeth Taylor's funeral.On Wednesday (March 23), Margie J. Phelps, lead legal counsel for the church and daughter of the church leader Fred Phelps, tweeted the church's plans to show up at Taylor's funeral:

And that's a tame example from a flurry of tweets about Taylor, who Phelps repeatedly describes as "Not RIP" because of her work to raise money for AIDS research.
A representative for Taylor's family told CNN that the details of any plans would remain private, though TMZ is reporting that the funeral is scheduled to take place Thursday (March 24), which is likely too quick for Westboro Baptist Church to mobilize.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

I hope that church freakin burns down
Speaking as a Christian myself, I don't know where this "church" gets their info from. The bible doesn't teach hate. Yes, I am against gay marriage etc but that doesn't mean that you should picket people's funerals. That is just disrespectful. I may disagree with a lot of things other do because of my religious beliefs but that doesn't give me the right to mistreat them. Nor do I have any desire to. Yes, being a Christian means up holding the word of God and telling people what is right and wrong, but at the end of the day all we can do it tell people and pray for them. Jesus is the one who changes people not us. I pray that these people would realize that this is no way to win people to Jesus. It just pushes people further away and makes it seem we are all like them and we are not.
The media (that means you zap2it) cannot help but report their every move. The media has made that "Church" a story. The media has the power to end the story. But, you just can't resist.
People are allowed to say what they want. So people need to ignore them. Don't report that they will even be there, it just
adds to their cause to influence
the public.
I believe as a Christian I would love to be one who would be able to stand at her funeral with a sign that said "Jesus Loves You, Too". That's how I would picket her funeral. Because it is the TRUTH. All christians should feel the same. GOD IS LOVE. There is no room for hate in this world.

and since when is raising $$ for AIDS just a gay cause? hetero's get it too. (but not that i have any problem with gay causes.)
This people are crazy and mean. I don't even believe they are a real church. Certainly not in the moral meaning of the word.
Why can't they get a high school marching band and just play in front of them as loudly as possible. The National Anthem over and over again.
