Vanessa Hudgens hoping to be Michael Caine's 'honorary grandkid'
Anyone who may have been a bit creeped out by reports that Michael Caine had a thing for his "Journey to the Mysterious Island" co-star, Vanessa Hudgens, have another thing coming. Hudgens was quoted in Details gushing about her co-star in early February.
"Not only is he uh-mazingly, stupidly talented, but he still kind of hits on me. All the time," she says. "If it was anybody else, I'd be like 'Who the hell do you think you are?' But because it's Michael Caine, I'm like, 'Sock it to me more, baby, come on!'"
Zap2it caught up with the starlet at a round table junket for her new movie "Beastly," where we asked her if she was still keeping in touch with the Caine-ster.
"I haven't talked to him since, no," she regretfully admits. "But me and my co-star asked him to be honorary grandkids and he just kind of laughed it off. But I took it as a yes."
Being attracted to a grandfather figure strikes us as a little odd, but Hudgens explains -- and it kind of makes sense.
"They took what I said as flirting," she says of the Details report. "He's just like, he's 77. He's got his stuff figured out and he's not afraid to speak his mind."
Adding, "It kind of makes me excited to get older because it's just like, you just own who you are."
We have to admit Caine is still a bit of a silver fox and we're okay with that. So Vanessa, you have our full support.
