'Things Fall Apart': Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson's movie trailer is here, and it's kind of awkward

It's been six years since Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson jumped onto the big screen with "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," but he's back with the trailer of his new flick "Things Fall Apart."

In the film, which he also wrote, produced and financed, Jackson portrays a young football player named Deon, who is faced with cancer during his senior year of college.

The typically buff rapper dropped a shocking 54 pounds for the project, and while we applaud his effort here -- the trailer leaves us feeling less than excited.

The film co-stars Ray Liotta and Mario Van Peebles -- who also served as director. While the film doesn't have a release date yet, we have the trailer for you below.

The story looks interesting enough, but in just two and a half minutes we're bombard with awkward pauses, questionable acting and all around low budget-ness.
