It's Friday. Fun fun fun fun.

What better way to celebrate Rebecca Black, the latest in a long tradition of teen music idols, than by looking back at her predecessors on the pop charts? Black's song "Friday" became an instant viral hit on YouTube and in less than a week she was topping the iTunes singles chart and appearing on "The Tonight Show."

Sure, they're cheesy -- but every generation had its own bubblegum anthems, complete with adoring fans and harsh critics.
