Pregnant Jewel 'fine' after Texas car crash

Jewel was involved in a car accident Friday (March 11) morning in Stephenville, Texas, when a volunteer fire truck slammed in to the passenger side of the singer's car, according to TMZ.

Jewel, who is married to pro rodeo cowboy (and one-time "Dancing with the Stars" competitor) Ty Murray, is expecting a baby boy. She and Murray announced the pregnancy in January.

"The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine," Jewel's rep tells TMZ.

According to the Stephenville Empire-Tribune, the fire truck was responding to reports of a grass fire. Stephenville, a central Texas town and home of Tarleton State University, calls itself the "Cowboy Capital of the World."
