Nina Dobrev talks Kellan Lutz: Vampires unite in 'Hunger Games' style battle movie

If you're starting to think everyone in young Hollywood has recently played a vampire or hooked up with one, you're not alone. Nina Dobrev, who balances a vampire role with a human one on "The Vampire Diaries," admits that the vamps run in packs these days -- which is how she originally met "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz."We've known each other for a little while now," she tells MTV. "All the vampire shows all kind of ended up at the same functions and the same events, and so we all kind of know each other."
Last summer, Dobrev filmed "The Killing Game," a movie in which she plays Lutz's young wife. Lutz stars as David, a man who gets pulled a the seedy underground world of gladiator death battles that are broadcast online. The game's leader is played by Samuel L. Jackson.
Dobrev says that we'll be impressed by Lutz in the film -- though he's a secondary character in "Twilight," this one is all about him. "It's his movie and he kicks ass in it," she says. "As much as we've seen him in 'Twilight' and other movies, this role is really all about him and he really delivers, and I think people are going to be really pleasantly surprised and excited to see him taking on such a big role."

Really, really Surprised how this show has hooked me - I watched the 1st ep out of curiosity, then wanted to see the 2nd ep, and then I was hooked. Kudoos to the writers - they brought together a good show - exciting, suspenseful - although unfortunately gruesome and bloody (it's a vampire/werewolf show after all, comes with the territory). Just one flaw - they had Bonnie take blood from Jeremy, 'cause she needed blood from a relative to track Elena - but Jeremy is NOT a blood relative, since Elena was adopted by his parents. They should be more careful with errors like this. Otherwise, great show, love it.
