Miley Cyrus slams Rebecca Black and YouTube phenoms
It's not often that we are able to praise Miley Cyrus for her comments in the media, so it thrills us to be able to report that Ms. Cyrus is not a Rebecca Black supporter. Cyrus tells the Australian "Kyle and Jackie O Show" that she doesn't agree with overnight YouTube sensations such as the "Friday" singer. Saying, "It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour."
For just a moment, we're going to chose to ignore the fact that she is the product of a famous father, herself. We give her a free pass here, because there is not a single fiber of our being that believes people should pay money to see Black perform. We would, however, pay to see Cyrus perform, as she's promised not to take a cue from Britney Spears.
"I don't lip-sync. I would rather someone say I sang like crap than have people see me lip-sync," she says.
Cyrus is prepping for an Australian tour in June, which promises a simple, no frills set and tickets at less than $100 a pop. While we love a high energy good circus show, we're finding Cyrus' act oddly refreshing at the moment.

OK I will tell her. You do sound like crap! And really she has no room to talk because the only way she got a break is because of her father. She has no idea what it is to struggle as an artist and if she had to do it without any help from Daddy - we wouldn't know who she is because with that voice she would never have gotten signed to a label.
Miley girl, you are not a singer. Your voice sounds crappy everytime you perform live!
i also don't think people who put their stuff on youtube should easily become music stars, but it's a way to help you get noticed. if this helps them get a record label, then good for them.
i will NOT give cyrus a free pass, because it's hypocritical for her to slam anyone else for the way they got their start, and she only got one because of her father. if she wasn't the product of a famous family, she too would be trying youtube (and failing, because she sounds horrible).
You may give this talentless pig a pass but most of America won't. Sadly, her talentless one-hit wonder father is still around because he leeched onto Hannah Montana. Otherwise, this girl would be knocked up for the fourth time in a trailer park.....where they belong.

Miley, Rebecca Lady Ga-Ga and basically most music today is not musical at all. These are nothing more that puppet hacks with no talent other that being a pawn in a corporate effort to sell an image. Being your average listener today would not know real music if it bit them on the ***, this is not a surprise. Thank god for Internet radio where you can find REAL music by REAL artists who can REALLY sing without pitch correction and they write their own songs. Even Clear Channel and all its BS can't stop that
That's right- you shouldn't get to be a star through YouTube.
If you're a preteen/teen, you should have to sell yourself to Disney to get famous and just pray you're not destroyed in the process. Like Miley did.
