Mel McDaniel, 'Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On' singer, dead at 68
The country music community is mourning the loss of one of it's greats today. Singer and Grand Ole Opry member Mel McDaniel passed away on Mar. 31 at the age of 79.
Though he had a string of genre hits in the 1980s, he's probably best known for "Baby's Got Her Blue Jeans On," which topped the country charts in 1985.
Great American Country reports the native Oklahoman died after a battle with cancer.
