McLobster Roll: You'll probably never McHave one

mclobster.jpg
For reasons unknown, the Internet is suddenly obsessed with the "McLobster," a regional McDonald's creation that has been selectively offered for some time.

A cheap, presumably mediocre take on the classic lobster roll, the McLobster is only available in a handful of McDonald's in New England and Canada at certain times of the year.

The Carlsbad Patch blog got confirmation from McDonald's on Mar. 2 that the roll isn't being tested for national distribution, but it is real.

Here's a three-year old ad for the McLobster, which makes us sort of afraid of lobsters:

This ad feels a whole lot older than 3 years, doesn't it?

While we're at it lets bring back the McDLT.

I'm soooo McSad that I can't have one of these.

Bring back those salad shakers... I loved those..

Can you bring back the sandwich that was in Chicago that had onions, and cheddar on a wheat? type of bun? That was an awesome
burger!!

Commercial is 3 years old. It looks like 20 years old to me.

I get McNauseous just thinking about these. Living in New England with a bumper crop year for the lobster season just past, WHO NEEDS IT. I can't understand the logic behind hawkin these in an area where the REA THING is readily available makes no sense... and on a Hot Dog Roll no less.

Bring back the McJizm!

I have lived in Massachusetts my entire life and I have NEVER heard of this sandwhich before - so I don't know where they have served this in "New England" (not in Mass and certainly not in Maine)

But we like the McRib?
McPuke!

It might have done better elsewhere. Why get a McLobster sandwich when so many places have the REAL thing, and probably much tastier. If they had these in Tx I would try one.
