Mariah Carey home from hospital after contractions; the twins almost came on her birthday

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon have twins on the way - and the little ones almost came a couple weeks early. Mariah was busy tweeting in the wee hours of the morning Sunday (March 27) about her unexpected trip to the hospital. Mimi says:

• So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital-
• Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control but..
• They almost came on 3/27- happy anniversary in deed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but- wow!!!: ) #soreadyallready!

The anniversary she is referring to is the fact that March 27 is her birthday. Happy birthday, indeed.

Hubby Nick Cannon has been busy tweeting as well. On Thursday, he dropped a few hilarious tweets.

• I am probably going to faint in the delivery room! I need to man up!
• Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife! .

We're glad everything is OK with the lil' Mimi and lil' Nick who are on the way.
