George Lopez's 'pig' comment about Kirstie Alley prompts Twitter retaliation
George Lopez, who's made something of an incredible career out of not being funny, took a bit of a low blow during the Mar. 22 episode of his TBS talk show after the season premiere of "Dancing With the Stars." On the subject of Kirstie Alley's well-received first dance, Lopez compared her to a pig. And it wasn't just in passing.
"She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away," Lopez said. "Before the show, she went to the market, then she had roast beef, and this is her going all the way home," he continued before showing a clip of the Geico commercial where the pig squeals in the backseat of a car.
Alley, a Twitter devotee and never one to back down from a fight, finally responded to the insult on Mar. 24: "Don't worry about George's comments," she writes, "just remember what happens to the big bad, drunk woolf...falls in a boiling pot of vodka. Piggy laughs."
We're not sure we remember this particular rendition of the nursery rhyme -- or if the actress is making a veiled reference to Virginia Woolf -- but we have to agree that Lopez was out of line.
[Update: Lopez has now tweeted his own apology, writing, "I misjudged the joke. No malice was intended and I apologize to Kirstie."

I lost respect for George Lopez after he left his wife after running around for years and she gave him one of her kidneys to save his sorry butt? I hope she's living large off a huge settlement, IMO. He's the pig.

That filthy looking, fat, ugly mexican ought to take his *** back to his own country. We don't want or need him here, especially when he is critical of AMERICANS. I've been to Mexico, all the women are big fat slobs. His mother has probably not left the house for 20 years because she's a 600 lb'er.
I will tell you what is a damn shame. It is Kirtie Alley allowing herself to get this big. She went from being smoking hot to not. Allowing yourself to get that big is telling the rest of the world that you do not care what they of how you look. We are supposed to pretend that the elephant in the room is not her?
