'Celebrity Apprentice's' Richard Hatch headed back to prison
Somewhere in the world, Hatch's former "Celebrity Apprentice" teammate David Cassidy is cackling."Celebrity Apprentice" star Richard Hatch is being sent back to prison to serve a nine-month sentence for failing to pay taxes on the money he won on CBS' "Survivor," reports The Hollywood Reporter. Hatch had already served more than three years in prison for tax evasion (he was released in 2009).
Hatch was supposed to re-file his 2000 and 2001 taxes and pay what he owed, which he failed to do. Judge William Smith says Hatch showed no remorse and made his sentence three months longer than the six months the prosecutors recommended.
"You can continue to proclaim your innocence. You don't have the option of engaging in this type of game or negotiation with the court," Smith told Hatch during the sentencing. "It needs to be a severe punishment. That's the only thing that will deter you in the future."
Hatch owes the IRS an estimated $2 million. He is set to report for his prison term on Monday, Mar. 14.

Couldn't happen to a *cough* nicer guy LOL! Hatch thinks he is above everyone. Let's see how he does with Bubba!
Annie, I don't think Bubba is a problem for Hatch. He's gay. That's probably why he didn't refile, he probably missed Bubba. LOL
How does he owe TWO million? He only won ONE!
3 years plus an extra 9 months, murders don't get that. Guess we know the legal system's priorities.
penalties & interest.
I DON'T BLAME HIM WE ALL NEED TO STOP PAYING FEDERAL TAXES. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT PLAIN AND SIMPLE. WE NEED TO THROW THEM ALL OUT AND START OVER.
I think he likes prison... hmmm
Hatch gets three years and nine months while billionaires and huge corporations don't pay taxes and get off scot-free. Also, what about all of the other celebs who owe money (so-and-so owes hundreds of thousands in back taxes), why haven't they been prosecuted?
Does anyone know how far in advance "Apprentice" is filmed? Just wondering if we're going to be seeing his bright smiley face on future episodes.
I read in another article that Nbc has 11 out of 12 episodes already shot. So he might appear at the live finale from prison. Will Donald pick him if he makes it that far? I wonder if David Cassidy is smiling. Karma is sweet. Hatch's arrogance on air might have made up the judge's mind about sentencing. You would think Hatch would have shown some humility after getting out the first time. Instead, he went on different news shows where he talked about his case and ended up getting sent back to finish his time. one day he will learn to shut up.
