'Barefoot Contessa' Ina Garten miraculously finds time for Make-A-Wish kid
Ina Garten, aka the "Barefoot Contessa" is attempting damage control. After reports surfaced that she denied a 6-year-old cancer patient named Enzo his Make-A-Wish foundation wish not once, but twice, Garten has somehow managed to make time in her busy schedule.Garten's rep released a statement to TMZ stating that she only "became aware of Enzo's story this weekend." Reportedly, the Food Network chef will be calling the tyke at some point on Monday (Mar. 28).
Her rep adds that Garten "looks forward to inviting him to spend some time with her at the Food Network studios."
As Zap2it previously reported, Garten reportedly turned down the Make-A-Wish foundation request twice citing scheduling conflicts. It's amazing how a little bad press can free up a schedule, isn't it?

When you get a ton of vitriol on your Facebook page like she did, even asking for the Food Network to cancel her show? (I used to "like" her page, left a polite "not cool" comment and promptly unliked it)Yeah.

I've tried to watch her but she is so annoying, laughs way too much. She ALWAYS has to brag about eat at resturants in Paris or where ever she and her husband went on vacation, etc.
She disgusts me....she has time to cook with her "very dear friend" but can't make time for this child. My granddaughter had leukemia and the outpouring of love from Make A Wish was amazing, They bent over backwards to make her wishes come true.She only had to do it once, it was not something she had to do everyday, but she didn't have time.Please, give me a break. I will not watch her show anymore nor buy anything related to this selfish person.Karma will get you every time! As you sew, so shall ye reap.That is what is wrong with this world, kindness to each other is lost.
