Annette Funicello's house burns; former mouseketeer treated for smoke inhalation
Annette Funicello was rushed to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation after her Encino, Calif. home burned early Thursday (March 10) morning.Funicello, a former mouseketeer and star of countless '60s-era beach-themed movies opposite Frankie Avalon, was taken to a medical center for treatment and firefighters put out the blaze in less than 30 minutes. Still, pictures show massive damage to Funicello's home. According to KTLA, there is no word yet on the cause of the blaze, though investigators are, umm, investigating.
Funicello was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the 1980s and is reportedly wheelchair-bound.
