Amy Adams is Lois Lane in new 'Superman' movie

It looks like Amy Adams it the next star to join Henry Cavill, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner in the new "Superman" movie. The Los Angeles Times' Hero Complex blog is reporting Adams received the news Sunday (March 27) when director Zack Snyder called her in Paris to offer her the role.Snyder tells LAT, "There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."
In the as-of-yet untitled "Superman" reboot, Snyder would not comment on the size of Adams' role, but he does say that Lois is "a lynchpin" in the story. Adams is just coming off an Oscar nomination for her work in "The Fighter" and has been a favorite of ours since back in her "Office" guest arc.
What do you think, "Superman" fans? Is Amy a good choice? And we wonder - will she trade her signature red tresses for Lois Lane's traditional raven hair?

There's not that much of an age gap between the two! Henry is 27 not 24, and Amy is 36 not 40!!!
I am sooooooooooooooo disappointed. Just as Margot Kidder was a poor choice in the previous Superman movies, Amy Adams is a poor choice for this reboot. Not only is Amy Adams too old, she is old enough to be Henry Cavill's mother, she's 40, he's 24, she clearly does not have the look! With so many young, beautiful and talented actresses, why did Zach Snyder choose Amy Adams?!?!?!? What was he thinking??? Boy, this ruins it for me!

Very disappointed in this choice. I love Amy but she is all wrong for this movie. I wish they would have gone with Sophia Bush.
There's just no satisfying people. Kate Bosworth was too young, Amy Adams was too cold. News flash, people - Margot Kidder is 62 years old. She ain't coming back as Lois. Personally I call this an excellent choice.

Amy should be just fine. She is an accompliced actress. Remember, Daniel Radcliff was not immediately accepted by the public for the part of Harry Potter.
Amy Adams can do anything! She is going to be awesome!
