'X-Men: First Class' official trailer: Cuban Missile Crisis threatens the world
"Before he was Professor X, he was Charles. Before he was Magneto, he was Erik."
"X-Men: First Class" has released the first official trailer, featuring not only oodles of cool special effects (we particularly liked Emma Frost and Mystique morphing into costume), but also features more information about the big battle of the movie -- the Cuban Missile Crisis. We wonder how the "X-Men" will fit into an actual historic event?
Kevin Bacon recently confirmed to Moviefone that the movie backdrop was the Cuban Missile Crisis, but that President Kennedy was not going to be a character. As we can see from the trailer, he makes an appearance in television form.
The newest "X-Men" movie stars James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto), January Jones (Emma Frost), Jennifer Lawrence (Raven Darkholme/Mystique), Rose Byrne (Dr. Moira McTaggert), Nicholas Hoult (Hank McCoy/Beast), Lucas Till (Alex Summers/Havok), Zoe Kravitz (Angel Salvadore) and Bacon (Sebastian Shaw).
It flies into theaters June 3. Are you excited? We are.

They wisely don't have January Jones speaking (and she's barely seen) so it looks decent. We all know she's the Halle Berry of this movie.
I love the X-Men but I think the films peaked with X2. First Class might be interesting given it's a prequel set in the 60s. Overall the trailer is okay, didn't blow me away. Jury's still out on this one.
