Willow Smith premieres '21st Century Girl' and we are in love. Again.
Can you believe Willow Smith is 10 years old? First she had the awesome "Whip My Hair" dance tune, now she has released "21st Century Girl" and we are fans.
According to Ryan Seacarest's website, Smith will perform her new single for the first time ever on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" soon. The single will be sold exclusively on iTunes starting Tuesday, March 1.
Here are the lyrics. What do you think of Willow's new song?
Give me an inch, I promise I'll take a mile
Danger is beauty, I'll face it with a smile
I'm on a mission with no restrictions
Don't second guess myself, I'm born to be wild
I'm the type of chick who likes to rock the beat, I like to rock the beat, I like to rock the, rock the beat
CHORUS
21st century girl, I do what I like
I'm takin' you for a ride
Yeah, I'm gonna live it up, just live it up
21st century girl, a beautiful life
21st century girl, ???
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up, just live it up
Step on the brakes, then I'ma step on the gas
I am a rebel, but I do it with class
I set the boundies, the rules don't own me
I'm livin' life on the edge, I choose my path
I'm the type of chick who likes to rock the beat, I like to rock the beat, I like to rock the, rock the beat
I'm the kind of chick that knocks you off your feet, that knocks you off your feet, that knocks you off your, off your feet
CHORUS
21st century girl, I do what I like
21st century girl, I'm takin' you for a ride
21st century girl, Yeah, I'm gonna live it up, just live it up
21st century girl, a beautiful life
21st century girl, ???
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up, just live it up
I feel like I can take over the world if only if I get my dreams out
Pull gold from my soul, pull diamonds from my heart
It's that new girl thinkin' and this song is just the start!
CHORUS
21st century girl, I do what I like
21st century girl, I'm takin' you for a ride
21st century girl, Yeah, I'm gonna live it up, just live it up
21st century girl, a beautiful life
21st century girl,
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up, just live it up

not as good as the first one. plus, Ke$ha rip-off much??
The message of this song: "rules aren't for me, I'm going to live it up and do whatever I like."
NIce one for a girl her age to be singing and sending out to all the pre-teen and young teens out there. (sarcasm)
I'm still a fan and think she can sing good. But this just fuels one of the things wrong with young people today... the "me me me... and screw everyone else" attitude. But then that sort of fits both her and her brother Jaden Smith, they are both a wee bit too cocky for their own good.
And on a side note... I really hope the new "Annie" project Will Smith is rumored to be pushing for Willow falls through and doesn't happen. He should be finding original scripts for his kids and not taking classic films to remake and butcher/change.
Where's my comment I left on here yesterday?? Did you not include it because of my opinion that this song doesn't send a good message to pre-teens and young teens (live it up and ignore the rules)?
If you didn't post it because you thought I was slamming Willow, I wasn't... I'm a fan. Or was it because of the part where I hoped the "Annie" rumors about her aren't true or fall through? Again not a slam on her, just that I don't want that particular remake to happen.
Hey Steven, no you didn't get censored or anything. When comments get flagged by the site as possible Spam, they come to the author of the post's inbox. Our spam filters are really sensitive and I think it's the URL you put in your posts, honestly, because all your comments (on my posts at least) come to my inbox for approval.
I just hadn't gotten around to approving the first one. I apologize.
Andrea, OK. Thanks for the explanation. So if we enter a URL in the space above with our replies it can cause problems? I didn't know that. I just assumed since you ask for our name, email and a URL that it's OK to do. I just include my Twitter in that box each time I reply is all.
Steve, I don't think it's ANY URL, but just some of them. In fact, Zap2it gets flagged, as I have to approve my own comments. : )
She is a spoiled little punk who is riding on rich spoiled no concern in life attitude portrayed by her racist mom and entitled dad. Lock the kids up at the smith compound and throw away the key
