Super Bowl 2011: 'Cowboys & Aliens' throws its hat into the ring with new promo

The summer movie combing the good old western with the iconic sci-fi alien attack, "Cowboys & Aliens," is due in theatres on July 29. And while we'll be seeing several new movie promos during Sunday's (Feb. 6) Super Bowl game, the producers are hoping their 30-second promo will rope in viewers.
"You're going to see from the Super Bowl spots, this summer there are going to be a lot of superhero movies, a lot of sequels, many of which I want to see, but this is going to be one of the few truly original franchises out there," Writer/producer Roberto Orci tells MTV. "We couldn't believe the people we got in front of the camera and behind. We've got Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Steven Spielberg producing, we've got Jon Favreau directing the thing, and even outside of Harrison Ford, it's Paul Dano, it's Sam Rockwell."
He adds, "You don't even see them all in 30 seconds -- we don't have enough time -- so hopefully it will leave you wanting more."

It piqued my interest just a little bit. I'm still concerned about Universal's attempt at marketing it.
Example: the teaser made some people think it's not going to be a fun movie and they are promoting as such: an unfun summer movie. I cross my fingers that they won't muck up the full trailer by keeping up with that negative comment.
Considering BOTH the cowboys and the Indians were Americans, unlike the imported NYLA rewrite of Americas history, it would be better titled "Eurasia settles America and Dies trying". A telling history lesson and precognition.
