Super Bowl 2011: J.J. Abrams' 'Super 8' trailer features a very concerned Kyle Chandler

Of all the non-football-related squeals of delight during the Super Bowl, we have a feeling that the bulk of them can be credited to the first real trailer for J.J. Abrams' upcoming alien flick, "Super 8."

No, there aren't actual shots of aliens (duh), but explosions, possessed cars, general pandemonium and a very concerned Kyle Chandler are all accounted for. All we've seen of the secret project so far has been the teaser of that ominous pounding coming from inside a derailed train car. (That's still there, too.)

What we still don't know is... what's happening. Abrams has been tight-lipped on the plot -- only saying that it pays homage to the Steven Spielberg sci-fi films from the '70s and '80s -- but it seems as though Chandler plays a father of co-stars Elle Fanning and Gabriel Basso. 

"Super 8" premieres June 10.
